Mukisa's Story

Persevering and Believing in God's Plan

Mukisa’s grandmother brought him to the Village of Eden in 2019. Born missing the ends of his fingers, Mukisa faced unique challenges. Teased because of his hands and, embarrassed at the young age of 4, he no longer wanted to attend school. At the Village of Eden Christian Primary School, we know that God has a plan for all children. We strive to teach our students to show acceptance and love for their classmates.

Mukisa has been a great example for our school through his perseverance. He has learned to adapt to life without the tips of his fingers, refusing to let that hold him back. He can now hold a pencil to write, carry his own plate at lunch, and even climb all the playground equipment. We are so thankful he is a part of our school!
